Skills: Speaking about Change (group discussion)

As you all know, last week we spent some time talking about the changes ahead. Come May 16th the online space will be alot smaller, due to Hope Services meeting the requirements to have long term funding for our programs.

In order to keep funding for our programs we must follow the guidelines, by law, the Department of Dissability Services and SARC Regional Centers, will only pay for in person services-but there could be a chance for them to continue to fund the online program.

In short, we have to prove that online program is valuable and is necessary. That it's still helping everyone with their quality of life. That online program is still considered a service.

  • How can we deal with the changes that are ahead?
  • What can you do to support someone that you know well in program who may be having a hard time adjusting to this?
  • What can you do to help our staff feel support duing this change?
