We'll learn about great ways to TREAT YOURSELF to self-care tools, products and experiences that can improve your appearance AND your mood. 

Personal Hygiene and Self-Care

Today we’ll focus on skin care and hygiene


Show & Share (5-10 min)

What do you do to take extra care of yourself, to pamper yourself, or bring a sense of calm into your body and your day? Can you show us any tools that you use to do that?  


Tomorrow‘s Show & Share is yesterday’s hair! Share a picture of yourself with a hairstyle that is from another era, or your favorite old-fashioned hair-do from an era you like. Or go all out and actually do your hair in an old-fashioned style.

What kind of skin do I have?  What is basic skin care for my skin type?

What is special skin care for my skin type? Great mask treatments for anyone.

Skill Builder (5 min)

Exfoliation is using something a little rough to scrub your skin so that it gets rid of the teeny, tiny dead skill cells and reveals your fresh skin cells underneath.

Skin Issues/Conditions

  • Do you have skin allergies or sensitivities? Avoid allergenic products, scents, additives and chemicals.
  • Do you have blemishes (pimples)? Try Tea Tree Oil from Trader Joe's
  • Ever get a small burn or cut? Clean it gently and put on some Aloe vera, neosporen and a bandaid.
  • Got sunburned? Aloe vera really helps and moisturize for a few days afterward.
