Knowledge & Fun With Friends

Check-In with everyone

How about a rhythm activity that teaches us some music reading? Optional of course.

Show & Share

  1. Did you ever get a shirt from a team you were with? Why do you think teams get shirts or other clothes that show they are a team?
  2. Are there other reasons when you were part of a group that dressed the same?
  3. How is a team shirt or company jacket different from dressing for an OCCASION like a wedding or formal dance?

Next week's Show & Share is humor!! For Monday, be ready to tell a joke.

<Body Break> You can get up, dance around your house, get a drink, go look outside.

*High Priority Vocabulary Worksheet

So this is our assessment of how well we learned these words. Follow along if you have the printed page.

PRESENTERS: if you have good writers/spellers in your group do JUST section 3. Otherwise, skip 3.

  1. Open the sheet and for the first section have each person read a single word.
  2. For the second section using the text tool type the first half of one of the direction words into a box, but in a different order from part 1.  Have people guess the rest of the word. Add letters until they get it.
  3. For GOOD SPELLERS use JUST section three but have everyone get a sheet of paper or turn the page they got over to write on the back. Stop sharing the screen and have them spell the words as you read them off. Then show the answers and have them check their work.

*Life Skills Stories Activity Sheet

PRESENTERS: demonstrate how to hold a sheet of paper up to an object and reposition it to count how long something is.

  1. For this worksheet get a regular sheet of paper and hold it up against the object you are measuring. Count how many lengths of paper the object is.

Thematic Connection: Choices made on Wednesday

  1. Remember the decisions you made on Wednesday about the activities to do today?
  2. Did you get your materials for what your group chose?
  3. How are you feeling about your choices today? Are you still into it? Or did your feelings change a little?

So here are the links to your activities. Get any appropriate materials ready, or get ready in other ways for your chosen activities.
