A knock knock Joke. Share your favorite knock knock joke so we can review how jokes are sequenced in specific orders.

Do you have a specific routine to get things done at night? Or in the morning? Share your routine using 3 step process. 


Life Skills Story Book 1 – Story 3: Two Winners Part 2 (10-15 min)

PRESENTERS: Last week we went through part 1 of the life skills story. This week we will finish the story and complete the corresponding story questions and prompts.

Part two of Two Winners! We are going to review what happened in week one and finish the story. 


What are some important things you remember from part one last week?


Let's use the Questions that you got in your packet last week, and some thinking skills to go deeper into the story. 


Questions Set 01

  1. Question 2 asks you count by threes. Test your math skills as a group. Try counting by any number between 3 and 9 other than 5. See if everyone can take a turn finding the next number.  
  2. Using the story can you find the beginning, middle and end?
  3. Think of a journey you took in the past. Can you share the beginning, middle and end of that journey?

Bus Schedules – If the bus leaves at 8:00, it should… (5-10 min)

PRESENTERS: This activity is to recognize the process of a bus route. 


Find a local bus schedule and reviewthe bus schedule with participants.


Here are some samples if you can't find a clear one in your town.

Buses run on a scheduled time so that riders know when and where the bus will be for transportation. 


Buses can be an excellent source of public transportation. 

  1. How many of us used a bus before? 
  2. Where did you go? 
  3. How often did you use it?

Review the bus route times and stops as a team. 

  1. What time will the bus be at a specific bus stop? 
  2. What bus stop will be visited at a specific time? Take turns describing when and where the bus should be according to the bus schedule.

Find the bus route that is closest to your house, trace it, and mark it in your planner portfolio. It does not matter if the closest route is 15 miles away…. Find it!
