N/A

Movie Time

Let’s watch Goldie, a short film about a giant girl.

After watching Goldie, share what you think about it. Who was your favorite character and why? When have you made mistakes like Goldie? Who appreciates you? Who helps you feel better when you’re feeling down?

Body Break

Let’s do some yoga today: Quick 2-Minute Yoga Flow from Mary Beth LaRue.

Returning Back to Hope

Take a look through this government website that discusses what to expect and how to be safe since the Covid-19 state of emergency has ended. Click this link.

Music

What do you know about the banjo? Let’s watch Banjo Basics with Abigail Washburn.

Do you ever listen to lofi hip-hop music? It’s great for when you want to chill out or when you need to study. Here’s a video on YouTube with some lofi hip-hop music and a beautiful animation: Sleepy Fish - Everything Fades To Blue.

Presenters: Heads-up: the Sleepy Fish video is 30 minutes long. You’ll likely want to listen to just the first song or two and then move on.

Body Break

First, make sure you have enough space to stand, reach out your arms, and move around. Now, who here likes Zumba? Dance Fitness: Senorita by Shawn Mendes x Camila Cabello

Food

You may have heard of French crepes, but did you know that savory breakfast crepes are popular in China as well? They’re called jianbing. Here’s an article you can read about jianbing: “Why Jianbing is China's Most Popular Street Breakfast.” And here’s a video you can watch to see how a jianbing is made.

Language

Have you used Duolingo before? Duolingo is a free website that you can use to learn many different languages. If you want Duolingo to save your progress, you may have to make an account. However, you can try out and use Duolingo without making an account.

On Duolingo’s homepage, click “Get Started,” and when it asks “Want us to help you keep your daily goal?” select “Not now.” Try choosing a language some of you already know (like Spanish) and taking a placement test, or choosing a new language and starting fresh.

Presenters: If you are already signed in to a Duolingo account, open a private window in your web browser and then visit Duolingo. If you do that, you should be able to select “Get Started” and “Not now” and use Duolingo from scratch without making an account.
